Practical Information

short facts:

The Convention takes place in Vienna from 10th – 14th of march; the Programm covers 11th - 13th . The main topic is “Students' active participation in the implementation of the Lisbon Strategy” and we will work on it in workshops and panels. We will sleep and take breakfast at Strudlhof (www.strudlhof.at) and work in the University of Vienna (www.univie.ac.at).

How to get from the airport/trainstation to the hotel

Take the train “S7” (direction: “Floridsdorf”) from the airport train station and go to the station “Wien Nord – Praterstern”. There you have to change into the tram “5” (direction: “Wien Westbahnhof”) and go to the station “ Spitalgasse/Währinger Straße”. From there you can just walk to the hotel. It will take you about one hour.

If you tell us until the 1 st of march when you will arrive exactly, we will pick you up from the airport/trainstation!

How to get from the hotel to the university and back

Walk to the tramstation “Sensengasse” and take one of the trams (37, 38, 40, 41, 42) (direction:”Schottentor”) and go to the station “Schottentor”. From there you can walk to the congress centre “NIG”.

Fees and travel reimbursement

There is no participation fee for the first delegate of each NUS.

The participation fee for the second and the also for the third delegate is 300 euro (per delegate).

Following ESIBs policy of accessing gender equality in higher education and as a part of it, of course also in students representation, we will give a bonus if the delegation is gender balanced. This means if at least one of your delegates is a woman we will reduce the participation fee to 150 €.

All delegates will get full travel reimbursemend until 300 € per delegate.

All official documents should be handed in and will be copied. Make sure you save the official documents like ticket, boarding pass and so on!

Can I arrive/leave late

It`s no problem to arrive late, just tell us in time, so that we can manage to lead or bring you to the hotel!

If you want to leave later than the 14th of march, we can not offer the hotel and accommodation for you in this time. But if you tell us in time, than we can manage that you can stay at the place of an ÖH- person.
